Ultimate Coffee Date: November!

Hi blogging friends! Gosh, is it really November already?!?! It’s crazy how fast time flies! I feel like we just got out of holiday season- only to get right back in it! Every year I say I’ll be ready for the holidays and then they just seem to sneak up on me- sigh. I’m very excited for the first Saturday of the month, though, because I’m linking up once again with Deborah, Coco and Lynda for the Ultimate Coffee Date! Thanks for hosting, ladies!

If we were having coffee I’d tell you…that I’m actually so glad October is over! I feel like I was so busy last month, I barely had time to breathe! Now at least I have a few relaxing weekends planned ahead of me. I’m really glad and honored to have been able to see my best friend get married though. We’ve been friends for eleven years (crazy!) and she got married last month (which is why life was so crazy busy for me!). She made a beautiful bride!

If we were having coffee I’d tell you…TOUGH MUDDER WEEKEND IS HERE! Can you tell how excited I am? This is one of my favorite events and I can’t wait for all the epic awesomeness to begin. I’ll be earning my blue headband here (colors are given to Mudders who have done more than one event- blue= 3 events), and hopefully getting through yellow next year! I have TM Atlanta (tentatively) and TM Kentucky planned so far. Yes, Farrah, I’m finally coming up to the midwest for a TM- when you’re in the middle of your crazy busy rotation schedule! (No one ever accused me of having good timing…)

If we were having coffee I’d tell you…I’m not feeling super Christmas-y yet. In fact, I’ve been feeling downright Grinch-like whenever I hear Christmas music or see Christmas movies! I guess I’m really not ready for the holidays right now. Anyone else?

If we were having coffee I’d tell you…it’s so good to have this girl back! Alex was gone for most of the year, traveling and off being her awesome little self, but it’s so nice to have my group back in town and hanging out together! We were Power Rangers for Halloween- yep, I know we’re awesome!

If we were having coffee I’d tell you…that I’ve been invited to be a part of 10 Secret Santa gift exchanges so far! It seems like everyone is organizing them- and to be honest I’m a little overwhelmed. I’m thinking I might just not do any! It makes me feel kind of bad, but I don’t want to be spending a bunch of money on people I don’t know (a) and dealing with having to choose which ones to say yes to and which ones to say no to!

That’s pretty much my life in a nutshell so far! I’m looking forward to some more races and vacation days in the coming months- and to closing out 2015 with a bang! Hope everyone has a FABULOUS weekend! I know I plan to 🙂

What’s going on in your life? Have you ever done the Secret Santa things? What are you excited about lately?

    1. I think because I work in the retail industry and it gets shoved down my throat for two months prior, I dislike it more than many. I’ll like it the week of Christmas. But yes, let’s focus on my favorite holiday- the reason to do nothing but eat all day long!

  1. I still can’t believe this is the 2nd-last coffee date of the year!

I hope you have tons of fun at Tough Mudder! That’s awesome that you’re going to be in Kentucky, but I am super super sad that I’m going to miss you! (Darn that timing thing, haha.)

I got sucked into that 10 secret santa gift exchanges thing too and…I also feel super overwhelmed and am not that inclined to do it. ._. I may be doing the same thing as you + just sit out on it (…and blame it on med school).

    1. Tough Mudder was a blast! Can’t wait to get more pics back from the event. Med school is a totally viable excuse for not doing gift exchanges lol.
