It’s been a while since I’ve been able to join in the linkups and I’ve missed linking up! So today I’m back with Her Heartland Soul for Weekend Snapshots! I had a pretty good weekend, how was yours?
After work I ran some errands and then went over to my friend Amber’s house for game night. She recently moved closer to me (used to live in Tampa). It’s nice to have people my age around again! Sarasota can be so boring sometimes 😉
We played a game called Politically Incorrect- it’s basically like Cards Against Humanity but instead of asking a random question you insert someone’s name. Below are some examples of the cards…warning- it is pretty raunchy! A totally funny game though!
I basically spent all day Saturday getting ready for my friend Lindsey’s wedding. We met when she moved down here from the midwest in 2013. I can’t believe she’s married now! It’s so weird when all your friends start getting married!
She looked beautiful; the ceremony was really quick though! I guess the last time I was at a wedding I was in the bridal party, so I didn’t pay attention to how much time it took for them to actually say their vows.
Everyone had a good time and I’m glad she’s happy 🙂 She did crack me up the whole time with her facial expressions and the little things she did- it was totally her personality coming out the entire time!
I did nothing. And I don’t regret a moment of it. I may have gone out to run some errands but that was it. The power went out at my apartment around 9:30pm though, so we had to call FPL and have them come out to fix things. I basically spent the entire night listening to them drilling until 3 am, when I finally was able to get to sleep. So yeah I didn’t go to work Monday. Two hours of sleep is not enough for me to be a functional human being.
I did go for a run this morning though! I didn’t make my morning run Saturday or Sunday because I stayed out late both Friday and Saturday nights and I was dead tired. Since I didn’t go to work today, I decided it would be a great day for a run! The sunrise was beautiful and I’m glad I got out there and ran!
What did you do this weekend? Do you ever have a “nothing” day?
